Walls and ceilings get damaged, opened up for access or altered during renovations. We handle the practical plastering and plasterboard repairs that follow, whether the cause is accidental damage, ongoing maintenance, a renovation or other trade work. Repairs are kept tidy, you get clear communication about the scope, and where building or painting work is also needed we coordinate it so you deal with one point of contact. See all our services.

Plastering work we can help with.

From a cracked ceiling to a wall opened up for access, we carry out practical plastering and plasterboard repairs for homes, rentals and commercial properties across Christchurch.

Because we also carry out building and painting work, the repair can be taken through to the agreed finish without you having to organise separate contractors.

Plasterboard repairs after water damage.

Plasterboard affected by a leak should only be repaired once the cause has been dealt with. The usual sequence is:

1. Identify and resolve the source of the water.

2. Assess and remove damaged material where required.

3. Allow the affected area to dry appropriately.

4. Repair and stop the plasterboard.

5. Prepare and repaint the surface where included.

Not every stained surface needs replacing. The appropriate repair depends on the extent and condition of the damage, and we can explain the options once the area has been assessed.

Frequently asked questions.

Do you repair small holes and damaged plasterboard?

Yes. We repair holes, dents, cracks and damaged sections of plasterboard on interior walls and ceilings. The repair approach depends on the size and location of the damage.

Can you repair plasterboard after a leak?

Yes, once the source of the water has been identified and resolved and the area has dried appropriately. Depending on the extent of the damage, the plasterboard may be repaired or the affected section replaced. We do not cover over an active leak.

Can you plaster and repaint the repaired area?

Yes. Painting can be coordinated as part of the same job. New paint over a repair may not match older surrounding paint exactly, so repainting a full wall or ceiling is sometimes the better option.

Do you provide plastering for rental and commercial properties?

Yes. We help property managers, landlords and commercial clients with tenancy damage, maintenance repairs and preparation between tenancies, planned to minimise disruption where practical.

Can you repair walls after plumbing or electrical work?

Yes. Once the plumbing or electrical work has been completed by the appropriate trade, we can patch, stop and prepare the opened areas, and coordinate painting where required.

Do you take on renovation plastering?

Yes. We carry out plastering and stopping associated with alterations, upgrades and room renovations, coordinated with any building and painting work included in the job.

Need a wall or ceiling repaired?

Tell us what has been damaged, where the property is and what work has already been completed. We’ll come back to you with the practical next step.
